Findley B. Edge was known as a teacher of teachers. His book, Helping the Teacher, was more than just a practical book on basic method of teaching instruction; it was also a call to others to help grow and support the teaching laity. Improving teaching methods would then further grow the Church. Edge's later works would go on to do just this, and his works have been seminal for Christian teachers ever since. About the Author: Findley B. Edge (1916 - 2002) was the Basil Manly Jr. professor of Christian education at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he taught from 1947 to 1984. He also served as senior professor of Christian education from 1984 to 1987.
